    Automation Instrumentation Summit 2017

The first international edition of AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT (AIS), a key event in the world of instrumentation and measurement systems and related resources, ended took place 5-6 July at the historic location of Castello di Belgioioso in the province of Pavia.

AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT is the new "must-attend event" for operators around the world interested in gaining critical industry updates and news; sharing the best solutions and offerings for products and technologies; and becoming more familiar with regulatory developments and technologies to be used in instrumentation and measurement and control systems.

AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT took place at the stately location of Castello di Belgioioso, an ideal conference site and one dedicated to Industry 4.0. Primary topics of the summit included: Advances In Control Systems; Control and Plant Communication; The Industrial Internet Of Things 4.0; Cybersecurity; and the Technology Evolution of Instrumentation and Analyzers.

The event was supported by many of the world's leading automation and control firms and the number of attendees exceeded the expectations-a reflection of the strong collective interest and desire to share experiences, skills, and ideas.

As part of the event, on 6 July, the "Ideas 4 Automatic Award" contest committee recognized three student projects, which addressed some key challenges and proposed some innovative ideas. Student participation and project work brings young people at universities closer to the "real world" of the automation industry.

Organizers are gratified of the headway made at the event and hope that more events like this will occur in other countries. Thanks to the commitment of the Italian AIS representatives, a door has been opened to high school students as well as 15 students from the Liceo Scientifico Donatelli-Pascal of Milan participated in the fair as co-exhibitors of the Politecnico di Milano university.
